Sundhed.dk is Denmark’s joint public health portal, which has existed since 2003 and is owned by the Regions, the municipalities, and the Ministry of Health.

Over the past 15 years, sundhed.dk has, in the role of both partner and supplier, delivered secure health IT and information about illness and health for the benefit of both citizens and healthcare professionals.

On sundhed.dk, citizens and healthcare professionals have secure access to the individual citizen’s health information and general information about health and illness. This gives citizens insight into, and the ability to keep an overview of, their own information, and to take an active part in decisions about their own illness and health, while also supporting healthcare professionals in delivering coherent and holistic health services.

Sundhed.dk has a digital presence wherever the user is, providing relevant, real-time, and verified health information that makes it easier to make qualified choices about treatment and health.

The organization has around 100 employees spread across four locations in total – three in Copenhagen and one in Odense. There is the option to work from either the Odense or Copenhagen office, as well as good opportunities for remote work.

About the Department

Sundhed.dk consists of five professional units. As Senior Developer, you will be based in the Operations and Development unit, which brings together all IT disciplines within operations, infrastructure, and development. Sundhed.dk is characterized by a flat structure, so you will have many points of collaboration with colleagues across the organization.

The Operations and Development unit consists of developers, testers, release managers, IT architects, and operations staff, working in an agile setup that follows a DevOps culture. The unit has 12 internal developers and 11 external developers, with the external developers and suppliers closely integrated into the existing teams. You will therefore work closely with them on the various products, solutions, and integrations.

The unit is characterized by a diverse mix of technical employees in terms of age, educational background, competencies, and interests, which creates good opportunities for professional sparring and further skills development.

About the Position

As Senior Developer at Sundhed.dk, you play a central role in an ambitious, development-oriented project environment, where you will have the opportunity to work on a range of varied tasks and help realize an ambitious strategy for the development of the Danish health portal.

You will be based in the Portal team within the Operations and Development unit, where you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of different and varied tasks depending on which solutions and projects are in focus.

You will work closely with the department’s developers from other teams, where together you will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining development, as well as setting the technical strategic direction for the Danish health portal.

In addition, as Senior Developer you will be responsible for ensuring high quality in development. Here you will primarily work on a number of projects and solutions in and around Sundhed.dk’s two main products – the portal, Sundhed.dk, and the app, minSundhed.

You will also be joining the organization at an exciting time, when many major initiatives have been launched. You will therefore have the opportunity to put your own stamp on the job, with ample opportunity to develop both professionally and personally.

Requirements

We expect that you have:

• 5+ years of solid professional experience developing web-based solutions in C#, .NET, and JavaScript.
• Technical insight into IT architecture and infrastructure.
• Experience working in agile teams.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Knowledge of Angular or web components would be an advantage, but is not essential.
