The Position as Test Manager

As Test Manager, you will become part of the Advance Assessment and Housing office, which has full IT responsibility for a central task of importance to society – namely, together with the sister department Annual Tax Assessment, delivering the Advance Tax Assessment and Annual Tax Assessment to 5 million taxpayers in Denmark. Housing falls under the Individuals Department, which is responsible for some of the largest systems at UFST.

Work involves, among other things, the following new technologies and processes:

  • Spock and Groovy
  • Selenium
  • Test-driven development (TDD)
  • Behavior-driven development (BDD)
  • Test automation
  • Agile tools

As Test Manager, you will hold a role with overall process responsibility, including planning tests, preparing risk assessments, and defining acceptance criteria. You will also be responsible for deciding which tests to run and will act as a sparring partner for requirements review.

More specifically, your tasks will include planning and managing structured test methods, developing a concrete test strategy, test coordination, and reporting. Work includes stress testing and performance testing, where you must be able to address the critical aspects of the tests, prepare maintenance plans, and take a risk-based approach to testing.

In addition, you will prepare test plans and develop the systems’ testing according to TDD and BDD principles, working in collaboration with the development teams affiliated with the office.

Requirements

The candidate should have experience with the following:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Test Manager
  • Experience preparing test planning and test strategy
  • Experience with automated tests involving real test work
  • Active participation in all test activities in the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Coordination, collaboration, and communication with external as well as internal stakeholders
  • Experience working under agile development
  • Experience with Java, TDD, and/or BDD principles

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have the following certification:

  • Certifications such as ISTQB, Advanced Test Manager, iSQI, TMap, SAFe, or similar
